“Marking” a swimmer in Swimtopia usually means declaring their attendance (and optionally selecting events) for a meet. This helps coaches with entries. Here’s the simple process: 

On the Team Website (Recommended for Full Options) 

 1 Log in to your team’s Swimtopia website.
2 Go to the Schedule or Calendar (often called “Swim Meets” or “Team Calendar”).
3 Find the upcoming meet — look for a green “Meet Entry” button (it shows as OPEN when sign-ups are available).
4 Click Meet Entry.
5 You’ll see your linked swimmers. For each one: 

◦ Select attendance: Attending, Not Attending, or other options (like Available for Relays). ◦ If your team allows it, check the specific events your swimmer wants to swim (up to the meet limit). 

6 Click Save. The button will change to EDIT (light green) to show you’ve declared.

You can usually edit until the coaches close sign-ups.

On the Swimtopia Mobile App 

• Open the app and go to the team calendar/meets section

• Follow similar steps: Find the meet → Meet Entry → Edit attendance and events for each swimmer → Save. Pro Tips for Parents
• Log in first — You must be logged into your parent account (linked to your swimmer(s)). • Check deadlines — Sign up early. Once closed, you may only view (not change) entries. • Relay availability — Many teams ask if your swimmer is available for relays — select this if yes. 

• After declaration — Coaches review and finalize entries. Check back for heat sheets/results.
• Multiple kids — You can manage all swimmers under your account in one go.
• Questions? Contact your team’s coaches/admins via the site if the button isn’t there or you can’t see events

Note: This is different from physically “marking” your swimmer’s arm with a Sharpie at the meet (event/heat/lane info) — that’s a separate meet-day task many teams do for convenience.
